Thanks so much for stopping by. My hope is that you will be encouraged and comforted by traveling with us on this adventure as you see how God can take the challenges of life to assure us of the living hope that is available by faith to us all through Jesus Christ.

Thanks, also, to each of you who have personally ministered to me and my family through your thoughts, prayers of faith, visits, messages, many acts of kindness and words of encouragement, especially during those dark days, and then for the long haul during my extended recovery season.

His Plans

Proverbs 16:3-4  Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. The LORD works out everything to its proper end...

I enjoy spontaneity but I do best when I plan ahead.  In November we were scheduled to help to care for our grandchildren for two weeks and then Hu's surgery came up unexpectedly and changed our plans.  We committed his hospitalization to the Lord before surgery.  However, never did we dream what a long and difficult path that would be.  Even though this is not what we would have chosen we know "The Lord works out everything to its proper end...".

Please pray especially for the following items as Hu looks forward to his tranistion home:
  • His swallowing has improved although he was not able to pass the test yesterday  (also continue to remember Garren as well)
  • He has two significant wounds that will take months to heal
  • He continues to work on endurance for basic activities
Thank you so much for your ongoing prayers for Hu and our family.
