Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. 2 Peter 1:2
On our way up the hospital elevator to visit Hu, a woman looked at us and said, "You know, we are all God's children." And then, on her way out, she wished us "grace and peace". That was a rather uncommon greeting, but yet, a great reminder of who we are and what we have access to through a relationship with Jesus Christ - an abundance of grace and peace! Who wouldn't want that?
Hu has been through a great trial over the past few weeks. While experiencing so much pain, the God-given peace that he displays has been such a testimony to me and many others. I believe the true source of his peace is his knowledge of God and relationship with Jesus, as Lord. It has carried him thus far and kept him from losing hope. Praise God he was "up" (sitting, standing, or walking) for almost 6 hours today!
May we all find an abundance of grace and peace through Jesus Christ our Lord!
(ad-ven-ture: the encountering of danger; an unusual, stirring experience)
Thanks so much for stopping by. My hope is that you will be encouraged and comforted by traveling with us on this adventure as you see how God can take the challenges of life to assure us of the living hope that is available by faith to us all through Jesus Christ.
Thanks, also, to each of you who have personally ministered to me and my family through your thoughts, prayers of faith, visits, messages, many acts of kindness and words of encouragement, especially during those dark days, and then for the long haul during my extended recovery season.

What a joy to hear directly from you Hu! I have never lost faith in what the good Lord would do during this entire process, I knew you would arrive at this expected end....that is, your complete healing. From the beginning of this journey He already saw you back to your old vigorous self, continuing to serve him and others. God bless you Hu, I know you know you are blessed beyond measure with a Heavenly Father watching over you, and a faithful, caring wife and family doing all they can to help. I'm looking forward to seeing you and Sherril soon. My prayers are with you every day.
