It is ironic that often it takes other people's misfortune to make me realize how thankful I should be for what God has done. Hu and I were talking about various people we saw in rehab and realized how blessed we are that he can look forward to recovering with all his limbs and walking again.
He continues to follow the exercises the therapists have given him for swallowing, strength and endurance. His willingness to persue them even when he is very tired is a credit to his persistence.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Psa. 100:4-5
(ad-ven-ture: the encountering of danger; an unusual, stirring experience)
Thanks so much for stopping by. My hope is that you will be encouraged and comforted by traveling with us on this adventure as you see how God can take the challenges of life to assure us of the living hope that is available by faith to us all through Jesus Christ.
Thanks, also, to each of you who have personally ministered to me and my family through your thoughts, prayers of faith, visits, messages, many acts of kindness and words of encouragement, especially during those dark days, and then for the long haul during my extended recovery season.

Still praying.
ReplyDeleteLove you both.
Gary & Faye
My regards to you both and God's many blessings. Can you imagine what it would have been like without Christ? I know for me He has made all the difference in the world. We are so blessed. And my heart goes out to those that don't know Christ. My prayers are with you and I praise God for your present and future recovery.
