The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. Psalm 23:1
I was struck by a comment that David made in a letter this week that he and his wife Lisa sent out to family and friends. He was considering "What the Lord had taught him in 2011" and reflected on Hu's surgeries and recovery. Among other things he said that he was impacted by God during that time with the thought that "He is enough--there is nothing in life that we can't face if our trust is in Him. Without Him we are nothing and have nothing".
Hu's stamina is increasing in very small ways. We continue to be thankful to the Lord for His gift of life to Hu.
(ad-ven-ture: the encountering of danger; an unusual, stirring experience)
Thanks so much for stopping by. My hope is that you will be encouraged and comforted by traveling with us on this adventure as you see how God can take the challenges of life to assure us of the living hope that is available by faith to us all through Jesus Christ.
Thanks, also, to each of you who have personally ministered to me and my family through your thoughts, prayers of faith, visits, messages, many acts of kindness and words of encouragement, especially during those dark days, and then for the long haul during my extended recovery season.

I am encouraged to read that Hu is running laps around the downstairs. We need to set a date for a foosball tournament at your house or the church. Tell Hu he gets to pick the date, and we'll bring the party!! Our family will come see you when the viral and bacterial infections decide to run their course. Can't wait.
