You hear, O Lord, the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry.
Psalm 10:17
Today one of Hu's therapists that came for the first time told him, "You look a lot better than I expected you to look after reading your records". Walking to the kitchen from the bedroom and back is a huge effort for Hu. He awakened feeling very weak and disappointed that he wasn't feeling up to doing more. Can you imagine what that therapist's statement did for his spirits?
The Bible tells us that as Christians we should be encouragers. What a difference we could make in this world if each of us would encourage just one person each day!
(ad-ven-ture: the encountering of danger; an unusual, stirring experience)
Thanks so much for stopping by. My hope is that you will be encouraged and comforted by traveling with us on this adventure as you see how God can take the challenges of life to assure us of the living hope that is available by faith to us all through Jesus Christ.
Thanks, also, to each of you who have personally ministered to me and my family through your thoughts, prayers of faith, visits, messages, many acts of kindness and words of encouragement, especially during those dark days, and then for the long haul during my extended recovery season.

I so understand your frustration and the exhaustion that brings that to a head faster...I pray that both of you will find the strength you need each day, to take the next step toward Hu's full recovery. God is teaching you (and us, through you) SOOO much through this long, difficult experience. He knows just what we need to grow us and He is doing that, so just hold tight and the Joy will return. We pray for you and uplift Barbara's trial as well, each day. So wish we were there to come alongside in person. Prayer is the gift that transcends miles of separation and pls know you are loved!
