Our family could write a book about God's provisions since Hu went into the hospital November 9, 2011. We have seen His hand at work all along the way.
Two weeks ago, Hu was discharged by his physical therapist who gave him a workout plan to use at the gym. This was so helpful and he began to follow the plan although he was essentially on his own. Because he continues to have difficulty breathing, which results in low performance of other activities, our son James, the PA, recommended that we find an exercise physiologist which we discovered aren't readily available.
Hu's doctor told us that when he finished physical therapy that she would refer him to pulmonology therapy. Yesterday, we went for the evaluation. I was amazed that he will be seen by not just one person but by a team of people including one of five exercise physiologists, a nurse, a doctor, a dietician and a pulmonary therapist. In addition there are brief seminars that we can attend that address some a variety of important areas of concern. I felt like we had found a gold mine! What a blessing that now we can get all our questions answered as they come up. He will have sessions 2-3 times a week for the next 3-4 months. How grateful we are to the Lord for opening up this new therapy to aid in Hu's progress.
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. -- Phil 4:19
(ad-ven-ture: the encountering of danger; an unusual, stirring experience)
Thanks so much for stopping by. My hope is that you will be encouraged and comforted by traveling with us on this adventure as you see how God can take the challenges of life to assure us of the living hope that is available by faith to us all through Jesus Christ.
Thanks, also, to each of you who have personally ministered to me and my family through your thoughts, prayers of faith, visits, messages, many acts of kindness and words of encouragement, especially during those dark days, and then for the long haul during my extended recovery season.
