Thanks so much for stopping by. My hope is that you will be encouraged and comforted by traveling with us on this adventure as you see how God can take the challenges of life to assure us of the living hope that is available by faith to us all through Jesus Christ.

Thanks, also, to each of you who have personally ministered to me and my family through your thoughts, prayers of faith, visits, messages, many acts of kindness and words of encouragement, especially during those dark days, and then for the long haul during my extended recovery season.

Tears of Joy

Waiting can be one of the hardest things to do.  When there is a problem, we want action to get things moving toward a solution.  Having to wait over two weeks for an appointment with a surgeon, seemed to be excessive.  We shared our concern with our Life Group last Sunday evening and asked them to pray.

The next day I had a couple of tests to determine my physical readiness for surgery.  Meantime, Sherril talked with the admin staff about options to advance the appointment, including seeing a different surgeon.  She was referred to the office manager, who told her that the surgeon was scheduled to be on vacation.  But...he had just cancelled his trip for some reason (we know...Romans 8:28...see sidebar) and would be available for appointments starting next Tuesday!

This brought tears of joy to Sherril as she realized the Lord's kindness in granting our request and, even more, in being assured that He is in this with us.  And for those who were praying, be encouraged, your prayers are being heard!
